Attention, Vancouver Island buyers—it's worth the trip! If you're shopping for a vehicle, don't limit yourself to the Island. Driving (or in our case, ferrying) over to Go North Surrey GM was 100% worth it. More specifically, Alex is the reason they earned our business. We were working with two other dealerships at the same time, and Alex outperformed them by a mile. His communication was incredibly responsive, and because we were purchasing from Vancouver Island, there was a lot of back-and-forth. He made the entire process effortless. What really set him apart was the level of service. He sent detailed videos of the vehicle, pointed out both the pros and the cons, and was completely transparent throughout the process. There were absolutely zero surprises when we arrived. Every special request we had was taken care of before we even stepped foot in the dealership. For anyone wondering about the logistics, we walked onto the ferry and took a $67 Uber to the dealership. It was actually cheaper than bringing our second vehicle across, and it allowed both my husband and me to drive our new vehicle home together. The entire transfer was seamless. The experience didn't stop with Alex. Everyone we dealt with—from Finance to the in-house ICBC representative and the Sales Manager—was professional, welcoming, and genuinely great to work with. If I had one small criticism, it would be the detailing. I suspect the detailing department was overwhelmed that day, and unfortunately it showed. It certainly wasn't terrible, but it wasn't quite at the same exceptional standard as the rest of our experience. My husband ended up giving the vehicle another thorough detail once we got home. That said, it doesn't change how we feel about the dealership. We are the kind of people who genuinely hate buying vehicles. We usually find the process stressful, overwhelming, and exhausting. Alex completely changed that experience for us. His attention to detail, honesty, and genuine care erased the stress from start to finish. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and consistently found ways to add value without ever making us feel pressured. This didn't feel like a transaction. It felt like the beginning of a long-term relationship with someone who truly wants to help us with our vehicle needs for years to come. Had an amazing experience from beginning to end with this place. Starting with Aaron who helped me find my dream car and took the time to search and go over everything with me very patiently and with the kindest demeanour. Secondly, I was amazed at the amazing customer service their Financial Services Manager Marium provided as she was super personable, kind, patient and made the fear of financing a new car not scary at all. And lastly, I dealt with the Account Manager Jason and he was fantastic as well. A very down to earth guy that genuinely wants to see a customer get what’s in their best interest (which is so rare for people in this business). You guys have an amazing crew!!
